Dan Warfield
Founder, Principal
As the founder of Tango Studios. Dan brings over 20 years of Web and client management, project planning, brand strategy and online marketing experience to Tango Studios. Prior to Tango. Dan was Manager of Web Communications for XO Communications, where he oversaw operations for the corporate extranet and intranet.
His experience also includes a two-year tour of duty at Apple Computer, where he was responsible for numerous key Web initiatives, including the Apple consumer online store, e-commerce, architecture and design of the company's intranet.
At Tango Studios, Dan is responsible for the creative direction and management of high-profile Web and brand development efforts for clients including Apple. Cisco, FedEx, Cathay Pacific. CMT Television, NBC Sports, Pyramid Brewery, and XO Communincations. He was featured in a Communication Arts article on the importance of flexible work environments and promoting your Web team.
A graduate of Texas University. Dan received additional formal training at San Francisco State University's Internet Design and Technology program. Dan works with an established team of Web developers in the San Francisco area and throughout the world combining new ideas with great customer-centric design.
Evalynna Но
Principal
Evalynna offers over 15 years in client and production management experience, having worked with industry leaders including Oracle, NCR, Marimba, VeriSign and XO Communications.
Prior to co-founding Tango Evalynna was Director of Client Management at Atomic Vision, an award-winning Web development company, where she helped develop business processes and trained the development team to serve larger clients.
Additional experience includes managing and leading the internal Web team at Red Hat, an open-source technology company. There Evalynna's team was responsible for implementing site-wide content management systems and large-scale Web solutions including E-commerce and Web marketing.
As a result, she understands the inner workings and challenges of implementing large scale internal cross-functional Web projects. Evalynna received a B.A. from UCSB, graduating with distinction in the major (art history). She also did post-graduate program with Sotheby's Works of Art Program and SFSU Multimedia Program.
Evalynna is currently Principal and Co-Account and Production Director.
Randy Merritt
Technical Director
Randy has 25+ years of software engineering practice from operating system development to iPhone and iPad applications. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering (with distinction) and was a founding member of IBM's AIX operating system design team. Randy holds and has worked on a number of technical patents.
Prior to joining Tango Studios Randy completed a 12-year tenure at Sun Microsystems where he began by leading a team handling critical technical escalations on behalf of Sun's largest customers. He then served as technical consultant for a massive IT infrastructure transition Sun performed to have it's own IT systems running on SPARC/Oracle. This design effort included using pioneering publish/subscribe technology to allow Sun's IT infrastructure to communicate related business data around the world in real-time. He completed his Sun run as the technical director of Sun's highly successful server-sizing initiative where he performed extensive performance measurement and evaluation analysis for carrier-grade database and messaging systems.
At Tango Studios, Randy has successfully completed projects from LAMP-based websites for apparel and charitable foundation clients to iPhone app development. He is our chief Apple SDK developer. His most recent contribution was the development of the Digital Media Catalog iPad app for Sony Entertainment Studios.
